The Scoop… A powerful drama in less than 10 minutes… you bet. Inspired by actual events, writer/director Vernon Mortensen wrote this screenplay for his wife, Kelly, after watching her suffer through the sudden death of her father, just a month after the two were married. The film's producer, Neil Trusso, read the screenplay and knew that this was something special. Less than a month after the final draft was finished, they were all on location in beautiful Descanso, California, bringing this bittersweet short film to life.
